Maintenance for Polyester Powder Coating (PDF Format)

Powder coated products are shot-blasted subsequent to fabrication to remove any rust or other foreign particles as well to create a profile for greater adhesion. The products are then cleaned and electronically sprayed with a triglycidyl isocyanurate (T.G.I.C.) polyester powder coat and oven cured.
Note: All site furnishings are double coated using a rust and corrosion inhibiting primer/sealer coat followed by the T.G.I.C. polyester powder topcoat. This is double coat is optional for bicycle racks, bicycle lockers, and bollards.

Thermoplastic powder coated products are shot-blasted subsequent to fabrication to remove any rust or other foreign particles as well to create a profile for greater adhesion. They are then preheated, electronically sprayed with the thermoplastic powder and oven cured. This coating is thicker than traditional T.G.I.C. polyester powder coats and offers the additional advantage of being field repairable. Colors are limited.

HOT DIPPED GALVANIZING

Maintenance for Galvanized Finishes (PDF Format)

Hot-dipped galvanized products are hot-dipped galvanized subsequent to fabrication by immersing the products into a vat of molten zinc. All products are then hand filed to remove any flash.

STAINLESS STEEL (Designated –S-)

General Maintenance and Protection of Stainless Steel (PDF Format)

All stainless steel products are the industry standard Type 304 stainless steel and have a brushed finish.
Note: While extremely resistant to flash rusting and corrosion, Type 304 stainless steel is not impervious to flash rusting and corrosion. Optional Type 316 stainless steel is available as an option at additional cost and is more resistant to rusting and corrosion.
